Sick. Tired. San Juan Mountains Style.

Sick and tired, but I made it out a bit this weekend. What I will tell you is that I am hungry for snow and the backcountry. Here is what I managed to do sick and miserable:

Today, we hiked to the Junction Trail. It is in town. It takes roughly twenty minutes to walk in mud, but Shasta loved it. I was pretty happy to see some mountains.

Yesterday, I ran in the snow, three hours. I hated it and loved it.It’s an odd feeling to be running along people hiking in snow shoes, but the snow was packed and the area beautiful. And the people were uplifti my from the backcountry snowboarders and skiers to the hikers, everyone just wanted some o fun the fresh snow.
